On obligatory medical check-up, fingerprinting and photography

Dear students,

We would like to remind you about the changes to the rules of obligatory medical check-ups as indicated in Federal Law No. 357-FZ of 14.07.2022 "On Amendments to the Federal Law "On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation" and Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation".

The main changes:
- Students who arrived in Russia before December 29, 2021 are subject to mandatory medical examination and fingerprinting and photographing before December 29, 2022
- Students who arrived in Russia after December 29, 2021 are subject to mandatory medical examination and fingerprinting and photographing within 90 calendar days starting from the date of entry into Russia. (The date of crossing the border is indicated in your migration card)

If you do not complete the aforementioned procedure, the Ministry of Internal Affairs may reduce the term of your current visa or deny the extension of it.
